Title: Mandarin Speaking Logistics Assistant
Salary: Basic salary up to £33,000 depending on experience
Location: Central London with weekly travel to company’s warehouse and construction sites
The Company
Our client, a well-established Chinese construction company is looking for a Mandarin speaking Logistics Assistant to join their team in London. Your main responsibilities will include logistics and warehouse stock management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organise delivery bookings between the port / warehouse and construction site according to site request;
- Quote the transportation rate and recommend optimal transportation modes;
- Communicate and coordinate with both site and hauliers to ensure deliveries are proper working order and resolve any problems;
- Manage and prepare paperwork and documentation associated with import / export shipments;
- Check and monitor materials and deliveries in the warehouse to ensure they are in good condition and correct quantities;
- Organise and plan loading and unloading of deliveries;
- Warehouse stock management;
- Ensure all invoices are correct and paid timely.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin)
- Eligible to work in the UK without restriction
