English Language-Only Jobs Available Through Appointments Bi-Language
Over the years at Appointments Bi-Language we’ve heard it all, seen it all and done it all, in the realm of international & UK-wide multilingual and English job recruitment, that is. At least, we thought we had until a young lady from Chengdu in China’s Sichuan Province arrived punctually for interview last Thursday at our London office. Her CV was sparkling and her references exemplary, but then she opened her mouth…
“It was such a pleasure to take the Tube train here. In Chengdu I normally ride everywhere on my own ass.”
“Pardon?”
“Would you like me to leave my values with the lady at reception?”
‘‘Sorry?”
And then, upon offering her a drink, she examined the glass before coming out with this little corker: “Has the Managing Director personally passed all the water here?”
“Erm…”
And as if that wasn’t bad enough, she then left the entire Appointments Bi-Language interview team gobsmacked by crossing her legs in a thoroughly unladylike fashion before coming out with: “You know, in the bars of Beijing, barmen prepare special cocktails for ladies with nuts.”
Crikey! Whatever next!?
A heartfelt plea from the young lady to be considered for fantastic English-language job opportunities like these, that’s what:

Alas, after an entertaining interview, our Chinese candidate only scored (a disappointing) 43 per cent in the English-language multiple choice test.
She tried hard not to show her upset, choking back the tears as she slowly rose from the chair and explained: “Don’t worry about me. I understand that you set extremely high standards here at Appointments Bi-Language. I shall return to Chengdu where my parents own a magnificent house with sweeping grounds, a state-of-the-art home gym, and a private cinema. In fact, my father e-mailed me last night to say the new swimming pool is rapidly taking shape since the contractors have thrown in the bulk of their workers!”
